I have now graduated from Coventry University's Automotive Engineering Design course, taking a 2:1. I chose the course because of its unique qualification and its focus on design engineering rather than developing either as a stylist or a mechanical engineer.
I gained a great deal of experience from my Industrial Placement year, building on my time at [then] Rover's Gaydon Design Center to enable me to fully understand and appreciate the work involved in designing and manufacturing new vehicles. I was very happy when Land Rover offered me a full-time position and I am now halfway through my graduate induction year. I have already worked for a month on the line at Solihull as well as at Gaydon.
